Position Description:
Ability to take a complete loan application and obtain the necessary paperwork from the potential borrower to begin the loan process. Assessing and educating himself on the financial position and circumstances of a potential borrower. Researching the market to determine a mortgage product suitable for the borrower. Assisting the client with obtaining pre-approval for a mortgage loan. Possesses marketing, advertising, and communication skills.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interviews prospective applicants in person or over the telephone, to discuss various loan products, quote rates, terms and payments.
- Requests specified information related to loan or credit application and prepares files for submission to processing.
- Corresponds or re-interviews applicants to resolve questions regarding application information.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for team member inquiries and/or loan applications.
- Maintain an open line of communication with all parties involved (Borrower, Real Estate Agent, Settlement Agent, etc.) to insure updates are communicated in a timely manner.
